Partnership programme

St Mary’s Music School has run its Saturday Music Classes for 4-14 year olds for more than 40 years!  It’s now online and is open to all children in and around Edinburgh with no auditions and bursaries to help those families who wouldn’t ordinarily be able to access music classes. Before lockdown around 150 young people attend one of more classes every Saturday while families get together in the café downstairs – there’s a buzz and a real feeling of a community connected through music.

There is no school on Fridays in Scotland so St Mary’s has taken the initiative. They run 30 minute online singing sessions as well as their Zoomtunes programme, led by Libby Crabtree, singing tutor to the choristers.
